In 2010 I came to the practice of yoga in an effort to augment my exercise routine. I quickly learned that yoga is not a work out or exercise modality, but a system of practices and routines designed to bring body and mind together in a quest for ones true self. While working as a personal trainer I began to study yoga more seriously, completing over 500 hours of teacher training under the guidance of my teachers Jim Bennitt and James Tennant in Chicago. I have also been fortunate enough to study with master teachers Andre Lappa, Indu Arora, and Rod Stryker.
I offer sessions based in tantric vinyasa which includes postures and movements designed to build a balance between strength and flexibility. Exercises to cultivate a deeper breath and basic meditative practices are also part of each session. Our sessions will be accessible to all levels from beginner to more advanced students and are tailored to fit the individual student or group. My own personal practice continues to evolve and with it comes new perspectives that I continue to share with my students.
